Building Consensus to Protect an Entire Language and Culture in the Alaskan North Case Study – North Slope Borough School District

North Slope Borough School District engaged OnStrategy to address fragmentation between its board, administration, staff and community and to build a sustainable, systemic approach to strategic change. The district needed a way to capture community and staff insight, establish clear priorities, and align people around a common vision; OnStrategy brought its methodology and OnStrategy Software to support that work.

OnStrategy implemented a Staff Insight mechanism, Strategy Design, annual onsite facilitation and its OnStrategy Software to translate community voice into policy and an actionable roadmap with goals, accountabilities and timelines. As a result, OnStrategy helped the district create an educational model tied to cultural heritage, build trust and cooperation across stakeholders, sustain community engagement, and achieve district-wide focus and commitment to systemic change.
