Aligning an Organization & Leadership Team to Save the Planet

Patagonia updated its mission—“in business to save our home planet”—and needed to resolve strategic issues, make organizational shifts, and set priorities for the next 5–10 years. To support that work, Patagonia engaged OnStrategy to lead strategy development and alignment, including pre-planning interviews, scenario planning, and facilitated strategy sessions to define the company’s future direction.

OnStrategy ran eight 1-day onsite planning sessions, conducted one-on-one team interviews, produced three scenario evaluations, SWOT summaries, and both a one-page and narrative 5‑year strategic plan. The engagement resulted in a clear 2020–25 roadmap, agreed future-state narratives, recommendations to the Board, core-team alignment, identified organizational shifts, and articulated brand priorities for the next 3–5 years—giving Patagonia a measurable line-of-sight to grow while advancing its mission.
