The State Emergency Management Agency partnered with OnSolve to manage critical resident communications during the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. Faced with expanding eligibility (eventually down to ages 12–15), severe winter weather, and the need to minimize confusion at vaccination sites, the agency needed a rapid, reliable platform to coordinate vaccine logistics across a roughly 400,000‑resident community and to send targeted alerts about appointments and eligibility.
OnSolve delivered its Critical Communications solution with ESRI‑powered geo‑targeting and multi‑modal delivery (voice, SMS, email, IPAWS, etc.), enabling real‑time eligibility notifications, appointment management and rapid rescheduling when extreme weather disrupted clinics. The platform’s redundancy and targeted alerting helped the agency notify only affected residents, keep vaccination operations running smoothly, and quickly communicate changes across the 400k community, improving timeliness and reducing onsite confusion.
