Prominent University, which serves more than 6,000 students and a large faculty, needed a reliable mass notification system and a scalable way to manage frequent password resets that were bogging down its helpdesk. To address both safety and operational challenges, the school implemented MIR3 from OnSolve as its emergency notification platform and sought ways to capture current contact information and improve password recovery processes.

Using MIR3 from OnSolve and its SDK/API, the university built a self-service password reset system that delivers new credentials to students’ cell phones rather than email and ties access to providing a mobile number for emergency alerts. The integration empowered students to reset passwords anytime, reduced helpdesk burden, increased opt-in registration for emergency notifications, and delivered cost and time savings while improving campus safety and communications.
