Crouse Hospital, a not-for-profit acute-care hospital, faced inefficient staffing changes: finding substitute nurses previously took 45 minutes to two hours and pulled nurses away from patient care. OnSolve enabled administrators to broadcast substitute requests and other alerts to hundreds of staff in seconds, with nurses able to send messages in about a minute and staff updating contact info via a self‑registration portal. The result: reliance on time‑intensive call lists was eliminated, staffing gaps are resolved much faster (reducing up-to-two-hour searches to seconds), nurses regain over an hour a day for patient care, and the hospital reports improved patient care, time savings and cost efficiencies using OnSolve.
