Kean University needed a fast, reliable way to alert students, faculty and staff across campus when seconds matter. After watching mass‑casualty events elsewhere, Kean chose MIR3 from OnSolve to provide rapid, two‑way mass notifications capable of reaching people by phone, text and email and enabling meaningful responses during emergencies.

Using MIR3 from OnSolve, Kean administrators were able to simultaneously notify thousands — roughly 4,000 students on campus during the March 11, 2008 bomb threats — lock down the campus and direct commuters and resident students appropriately, with a second threat handled just 20 minutes later.
