Guardian Life Insurance helps employees stay productive in spite of disrupted commute

Guardian, a large national insurance carrier, faced major commute disruption when construction at New York Penn Station threatened to snarl employee commutes and impact productivity. To notify only the staff in the affected New York/New Jersey area (including 300–400 contingent workers) the company turned to OnSolve and its MIR3 notification system to target subsets of its large contact database.

Using OnSolve’s MIR3, Guardian filtered users by work location, broadcasted a survey to identify who commuted through Penn Station, and provided follow-up options and resources based on real‑time responses. The targeted outreach reached thousands, leveraged Guardian’s ~11,000 contact records across roughly 125 locations, enabled flexible or remote work arrangements to avoid grueling commutes, and preserved productivity — demonstrating OnSolve’s MIR3 delivered measurable operational continuity and a new non‑emergency use case.
