Michiana Hematology Oncology’s Advanced Centers for Cancer Care, the largest team of board-certified oncologists in northern Indiana, faced failing pagers as local paging towers were decommissioned and clinicians were forced to carry both pagers and cell phones. To modernize communications and consolidate devices, they implemented OnPage’s secure incident-alert management system and smartphone app, including its web management console.
OnPage replaced legacy pagers with ALERT-UNTIL-READ alerting, on-call routing, escalation and HIPAA‑compliant dispatcher-to-physician messaging so alerts go to the right clinician who can acknowledge and securely collaborate. As a result, OnPage enabled Michiana to eliminate pagers, consolidate devices, improve reliability and compliance, centralize communications and reporting, and speed urgent clinician response.
