Case Study: Mülheim Association improves secure distributed collaboration with ONLYOFFICE

A ONLYOFFICE Case Study

Preview of the Mülheim Association Case Study

Mülheim Association implements ONLYOFFICE to coordinate the distributed team and prepare sessions

Mülheim Association of Free Churches and Evangelical Communities, a distributed church network with 45 local communities and about 3,700 members, needed a secure way to collaborate online across locations. To meet strict data protection requirements under its MV-DSO regulations and GDPR-related security expectations, the association looked for a collaboration platform that could be self-hosted in Germany and used with its Nextcloud setup.

Mülheim Association chose ONLYOFFICE, ultimately adopting the Enterprise solution to support document collaboration on its private network. With ONLYOFFICE, the team can co-edit documents in real time without synchronization issues, prepare sessions remotely, manage documents through external storage integration, and use chat, comments, and project tools for tasks and milestones. The main result was a more secure and efficient workflow for distributed teamwork, though the case study does not provide specific numeric impact metrics.
