How the Wegweiser association ditched SharePoint to set up a private cloud with ONLYOFFICE and Nextcloud

Wegweiser, a German association that helps integrate people with mental and physical disabilities into society, needed a more secure collaboration environment than the SharePoint setup it had been using. Concerned about data protection, the organization looked for a private, privacy-focused alternative and turned to ONLYOFFICE Docs integrated with Nextcloud.

With ONLYOFFICE and Nextcloud, Wegweiser created its own private cloud for employees to document daily work, support accounting and controlling, and co-edit documents in real time while maintaining compatibility with MS Office formats. The solution improved security and collaboration for the 35-employee organization, and Wegweiser says it is “the perfect solution.”
