How the University of Nantes deployed its online collaboration platform based on Nextcloud and ONLYOFFICE

The University of Nantes, a multidisciplinary French university with 37,000 students and thousands of staff across faculties and research units, needed a better way to share documents and support collaboration among students, teachers, employees, and external users. To meet goals around centralized storage, easier data management, mobility, collaboration, and data confidentiality, it evaluated online office suites to pair with Nextcloud and chose ONLYOFFICE Docs.

ONLYOFFICE helped the University of Nantes launch UNCloud in 2018 as a full digital collaboration platform for students, teachers, and staff. The solution enabled real-time co-editing, shared access permissions, comments, chat, and change tracking, and quickly became one of the most used features for document review, meeting minutes, and project work.
