How ONLYOFFICE Docs integrated into Nextcloud enables online document editing and collaboration for government officials in Laos

SB LAB 856, a Laos-based IT company and digital transformation enabler, needed to help Laotian ministries and government agencies overcome major collaboration gaps in their IT environment. Government documents were often stored on personal PCs or USB drives, real-time collaboration was limited, and officials could not edit documents easily on mobile devices.

To address this, SB LAB 856 implemented a collaborative environment using ONLYOFFICE Docs integrated with Nextcloud, giving government staff free cloud storage, online document editing, and real-time co-editing in one interface. With ONLYOFFICE, officials can now share files and work on text documents, spreadsheets, and presentations without extra software; the solution is also planned for further localization to support users in remote areas and expand access where internet connectivity is limited.
