How ONLYOFFICE and Nextcloud ensure smart workflows at the education center of the DRK Rettungsdienst Mittelhessen

DRK Rettungsdienst Mittelhessen, the German Red Cross education and training center in Central Hesse, needed a secure way to support collaborative document work for its vocational and advanced training programs. Using ONLYOFFICE online editors integrated with Nextcloud, the organization aimed to improve teamwork while meeting strict data protection requirements and reducing the friction of email-based file sharing.

ONLYOFFICE implemented a smooth Nextcloud integration that enabled real-time co-editing, automatic saving, and access from desktop, local, and mobile devices. The result was better collaboration on shared documents, fewer storage conflicts in high-traffic files, and less mail traffic with no need for large attachments. Andre Gerke said the solution was a “great innovation” and that the school would recommend ONLYOFFICE to other organizations.
