Consortium GARR, the Italian research and education network, needed a secure, self-hosted cloud workplace for researchers and collaborators across many institutions. To meet its security, compatibility, and resource-efficiency requirements, GARR chose ONLYOFFICE Workspace and its collaborative document editing tools.

ONLYOFFICE implemented the GARR Workplace service, giving user groups a dedicated ONLYOFFICE instance that can be used regardless of location. The solution supports collaborative editing of documents and spreadsheets, includes the Projects module, and fits GARR’s ISO 27001-certified cloud environment; it also helps enable cross-organization research collaboration across GARR’s nationwide network of more than 1,200 sites and 4 million users.
