MegaBots powers 15-foot mech video systems with OnLogic

OnLogic provided a solution for MegaBots, a company building America's first giant piloted fighting robots. Their challenge was finding an ultra-reliable, high-performance, and rugged computer to serve as the core of their robot's control system. This computer needed to process multiple video feeds for targeting and status monitoring while surviving the intense shock, vibration, and temperature extremes of robotic combat.

The solution implemented by OnLogic was the Nuvo-5000 Rugged Fanless Computer, configured with an Intel i7 processor. This system provided the necessary computing power and connectivity, with 6 LAN and 8 USB ports for all cameras and peripherals. Its fanless, shock-resistant steel chassis ensured reliable operation in harsh conditions. For MegaBots, the OnLogic solution delivered a robust and expandable video processing unit that could withstand the rigors of battle, allowing their team to focus on developing the Mk. III robot.
