University of Calgary advances neuroinclusive WIL resources over 4 years with Onlea

The University of Calgary faced the challenge of preserving and scaling the success of its multi-year Work-Integrated Learning for Neurodiverse Students (WIL-ND) initiative. They sought to create a lasting set of digital resources to empower faculty and staff to support neurodivergent students in various work-integrated learning scenarios, ensuring these efforts would continue to evolve. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor Onlea to develop a comprehensive legacy project.

Onlea facilitated a series of structured Breakthrough Labs workshops to re-engage stakeholders, map the network of interests, and define the priorities for the resource. This collaborative process captured the needs of the wider community, enabling a smaller team to confidently develop the resources on a compressed timeline. The solution fostered trust and buy-in across the campus, and Onlea's multimedia development team continued to work with the University of Calgary to support the creation of the final WIL-ND legacy resources.
