Nanuk Narratives launches free Inuit Knowledge course in 2024 with Onlea

Nanuk Narratives, an initiative collaborating with multiple wildlife management boards, faced the challenge of making vital Inuit knowledge about polar bear stewardship accessible to policymakers, as their voices were often not heard in wildlife management programs. They engaged Onlea for its learning development strategy and UX research expertise to help transform their collected research into an impactful knowledge resource.

Onlea worked with the Nanuk team to plan the development of an online course, providing consultation on audience understanding, engagement methods, and risk mitigation. This collaboration resulted in a well-received prototype and the successful launch of the free "Inuit Knowledge of Nanuk" course in December 2024, making this essential knowledge openly accessible to support effective wildlife co-management practices.
