talentReef, a leading provider of social recruiting and talent management systems for the hourly workforce, needed to move from its on-premises data center to AWS. The company’s challenge was to build a more secure, scalable infrastructure that could support 24/7 global availability and handle spikes in usage, especially during seasonal hiring periods. Onica was brought in to guide the migration and cloud strategy.

Onica migrated talentReef’s physical servers, virtual machines, and Microsoft SQL Servers to AWS, using services such as Amazon EC2, Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon CloudWatch, and Amazon S3 in a multi-region architecture. The new environment improved scalability and disaster recovery while reducing operational burden. Most notably, site load times decreased dramatically, and the difficulties of managing the datacenter were eliminated.
