Simple Therapy, a health and fitness company offering video-based exercise therapy programs, needed to implement a HIPAA-compliant environment on AWS so it could begin storing patient information. The company was already running on Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) and wanted to preserve multi-AZ data mirroring and high availability while managing a production cutover with minimal disruption. Onica was brought in to help design and deploy the compliant AWS environment.

Onica implemented a secure, HIPAA-compliant AWS solution that switched Simple Therapy from RDS to dedicated high-availability multi-AZ databases, while keeping the business running with minimal outage. The project also delivered fully documented and audited infrastructure, along with AWS Managed Services, giving Simple Therapy a seamless cutover and the compliance foundation it needed to store patient data.
