Q Engineering, an oil and gas analytics software company based in Houston, needed a secure, scalable platform for its containerized workloads and a better way to route traffic across multiple endpoints. The company also wanted an end-to-end CI/CD pipeline to speed development and feedback, and it turned to Onica for help through its cloud managed service, Cloud OpsPilot.

Onica implemented an AWS-based Kubernetes solution using Amazon EKS, along with Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS/Aurora, AWS Lambda, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipeline, and Amazon CloudWatch. The result was a scalable, secure platform with automated deployments, backups, and monitoring that cut update times from hours to minutes, while also enabling knowledge transfer and giving Q Engineering the ability to support current and future workloads more efficiently.
