Kasasa, a financial technology and marketing services company, was already using Amazon Web Services (AWS) in development but needed help reducing risk as it moved into production. Kasasa brought in Onica to conduct a thorough AWS security audit and review its infrastructure, with guidance on security best practices and AWS architecture.

Onica assessed Kasasa’s development and pre-production environments, interviewed IT and development staff, and identified security gaps across the AWS stack. The solution helped Kasasa implement stronger controls such as SSL-only connections, restricted network access, logging and monitoring, and encryption for Amazon Redshift and RDS. Onica also later supported additional AWS projects, including a Talend ETL solution and a data pipeline that improved DevOps automation and big data operations.
