Increasing efficiency and reducing costs with smart factories

Cerapedics, a Colorado-based medical device company, partnered with Onica to modernize and automate its production process. The company wanted to track large volumes of manufacturing data in real time to improve cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and analytics for its bone graft technology operations.

Onica built a PoC IoT solution that connected digital and analog sensors on the sterilizer, sent the data to AWS, and created a scalable pipeline for ingestion, enrichment, storage, and analysis. With this smart factory approach, Onica helped Cerapedics enable predictive analytics and maintenance, improve batch yield, and reduce production losses.
