Hubble, a maker of reporting and decision support software for ERP data, partnered with Onica to migrate its desktop application to a cloud-based SaaS offering. Their challenge was to deploy infrastructure for a new region and new customer while also creating a model that could support both shared infrastructure and custom customer solutions, using services such as AWS CloudFormation and Chef.

Onica automated the deployment process with heavy use of CloudFormation and Chef, building both shared infrastructure and customized environments for each new customer. As a result, Hubble was able to deploy customers across three global regions within a year, bring new regions online in hours, and complete customer onboarding in minutes instead of days or weeks.
