Cloud native application scales for rapid growth and drastically streamlines the operations process

Alistair Group, an East Africa-based logistics company moving 650,000 tons of cargo annually across 14 countries, needed a better way to manage its growing network of contractors, drivers, trucks, trailers, and load assignments. As its operations expanded rapidly, Onica was brought in to help build a proprietary serverless application on AWS to solve the challenge.

Onica implemented a cloud-native solution using Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Elasticsearch Service, Cognito, Angular, and an Android driver app. The new system streamlined and automated operations, enabling drivers to receive assignments, report progress, and track performance in real time, while keeping costs low and allowing the platform to scale up or down as needed.
