Automating NET Deployments onto AWS

Advanced Event Systems (AES), an events industry company, needed a better way to deploy its .NET applications onto AWS. Its development team was managing frequent updates for registration, hotel management, scheduling, and results tracking applications, but the manual deployment process was slow, multi-step, and error-prone. AES engaged Onica to help automate and streamline these deployments using cloud automation tools, PowerShell, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk.

Onica designed and implemented an automated deployment solution that included PowerShell scripts, virtual directories, and modified registration keys, customized and extended with AWS Elastic Beanstalk. After testing in staging, the result was a much faster and more reliable release process: AES can now deploy by logging into the deploy server and running a script, reducing deployment time to no more than 15 minutes and significantly lowering the risk of manual errors.
