Secure and easy access with a branded authenticator app

Philadelphia, a Dutch healthcare organisation operating around 500 locations, needed a more accessible and secure way for caregivers, patients and external partners to log in—many users couldn’t remember usernames and passwords and SMS passcodes were costly and cumbersome. After earlier conversations about an on‑premise option, Philadelphia chose Thales OneWelcome’s White Label Authenticator App as a cloud SaaS solution to enable simple, biometric two‑factor authentication (face, fingerprint or PIN).

Thales OneWelcome implemented the branded authenticator in under three months and rolled it out in April 2020, using one‑time username/password onboarding followed by QR‑code plus face recognition for routine logins. Adoption proved strong—about 8,000 downloads with more than 60% of workers and clients using the app—leading to roughly €10,000 in monthly savings by replacing SMS codes, a near‑zero operational burden and plans with Thales OneWelcome to explore a broader IAM rollout.
