Klaverblad, an independent Dutch insurer serving 402,000+ customers and providing secure access to 3,200+ independent agencies, faced a legacy home-built access solution that no longer met digitalisation, GDPR and regulator expectations—especially after the mandated phase-out of the Digital Passport in favor of the national eID scheme eHerkenning. Seeking an out-of-the-box replacement, Klaverblad selected Thales OneWelcome to deliver the required secure, compliant identity and access capabilities.
Thales OneWelcome implemented a cloud-based B2B Identity & Access Management platform with full eHerkenning login, SSO, two‑factor authentication, and delegation/relations management so Klaverblad can centrally onboard identities and manage chain authorisation. As a result, Klaverblad achieved a secure, user-friendly access environment that supports its large advisor network, is deemed future‑proof, and is being expanded to include CIAM for B2C users and planned mobile app and eSigning functionality with ongoing support from Thales OneWelcome.
