RIVM needed a secure, easy online login for multiple user groups to access the National Asbestos Tracking System (LAVS), enabling certified parties to register, inspect, remediate and verify asbestos cases from start to finish. To meet government reliability and user-management requirements, Thales OneWelcome (a Thales company) provided an identity solution integrating eHerkenning (eRecognition) for strong, centrally managed authentication.

Thales OneWelcome implemented eHerkenning-based access with a required reliability level of 2 or higher, removing the burden of local user management and allowing five distinct user groups to securely perform inspections, report remediation, and share data across government portals. The solution improved security and compliance (eHerkenning level 2+ from June 1, 2021) and streamlined workflows and interoperability with other public services—demonstrating Thales OneWelcome’s role in simplifying trusted digital access.
