Schindler Group, a global leader in elevators, escalators and moving walks with more than 1,000 branches in 100+ countries, faced a fragmented privacy program that relied on Excel and inconsistent local processes after GDPR took effect. To centralize and scale compliance, Schindler selected OneTrust and deployed Assessment Automation, Data Inventory & Mapping, and Data Subject Rights Management.

OneTrust implemented a central Data Inventory & Mapping repository, enabled country-level data processing centers with local project owners to register assessments, and is customizing automated workflows for subject rights. The OneTrust deployment replaced siloed Excel processes, delivered global visibility and streamlined compliance across Schindler’s 100+ countries, and positioned the company to meet GDPR and upcoming laws such as ePrivacy and Brazil’s LGPD.
