OSRAM Uses OneTrust Privacy Management Software for Data Mapping and GDPR Preparation

OSRAM GmbH, the Munich‑based global leader in automotive and smart lighting, needed to prepare its privacy program for GDPR by understanding how personal data flowed across its business. Facing a complex, multinational footprint with about 70 affiliated companies and varied local requirements, OSRAM turned to OneTrust — using OneTrust Privacy Management and Marketing Compliance (including Data Mapping Automation and PIA & DPIA Automation) — to run a coordinated, enterprise‑wide data mapping effort.

OneTrust delivered a configurable platform to distribute data‑mapping questionnaires, automate assessments and DPIAs, and brand the experience for higher adoption; OSRAM also built an internal network of privacy champions to support rollout. Using OneTrust, OSRAM completed data mapping across its affiliates, identified and mitigated gaps, implemented retention/deletion timeframes and privacy‑by‑design controls, and now continues to maintain and adapt its GDPR program and regional compliance efforts with OneTrust.
