OneTrust Makes it Possible for Huawei GDPR Compliance Program

Huawei Technologies needed a scalable, technology-driven way to build, implement and manage a GDPR- and ePrivacy-compliant marketing program across its Consumer Business Group, ensuring consistent cookie management, transparency and coordination between IT, privacy and business teams. To meet this challenge, Huawei implemented OneTrust’s Data Mapping and Cookie Consent solutions to demonstrate accountability and simplify cross-departmental compliance.

OneTrust delivered a centralized, easy-to-use platform that automated much of Huawei’s cookie and data-mapping workflows, reduced manual errors and increased productivity roughly equivalent to an additional team member. The OneTrust deployment improved collaboration across stakeholders, helped Huawei attain ISDP certification 10003:2018 for GDPR compliance, and freed teams to focus on higher-value tasks while maintaining ongoing compliance.
