OneTrust and Grant Thornton Partner to Drive Transportation Services Company’s Privacy Program

Grant Thornton was engaged to build a privacy program from the ground up for a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 transportation services company and partnered with OneTrust to provide the underlying technology. Facing a clean slate—data inventory, privacy notices, consent and individual rights processes—Grant Thornton selected OneTrust’s privacy automation platform (including Assessment Automation, Data Mapping, Data Subject Access Requests and Vendor Risk Management) to meet requirements for customization, import/export capability, and ongoing adaptability.

Grant Thornton and OneTrust implemented the solution together, using sandbox demos, SSO integration, weekly support meetings and end-user training; the end-to-end rollout completed in seven months with an incident‑free implementation. OneTrust’s tools enabled a seamless data inventory (June–August) and individual rights processes (Sept–Oct), supported CCPA-readiness, and produced a scalable, efficient program that the client could extend across other subsidiaries. OneTrust’s adaptability, functionality and support were cited as key drivers of the project’s success.
