INTO University Partnerships Brings a Higher Education on Data Protection with OneTrust

INTO University Partnerships, a global higher-education partnership organization, faced the challenge of maturing its data governance and preparing for GDPR while operating across multiple legal entities and data subject groups. Veronica Morrison, INTO’s first Data Protection Officer, needed tools to raise internal awareness, map complex intra-group data flows, and manage cookie/ePrivacy obligations. INTO selected OneTrust and deployed modules including Assessment Automation (PIA/DPIAs), Data Mapping Automation, and Cookie Consent and Website Scanning.

OneTrust’s platform gave INTO visual dashboards for executive reporting, automated privacy assessments, mapped processing activities to the correct INTO entities, and centralized cookie consent across the INTO domain. As a result, INTO can now manage cookie banners across eight websites, improve attribution of processing activities throughout the group, and shift day-to-day cookie management to digital teams—streamlining GDPR and ePrivacy compliance and reducing the operational burden on the DPO.
