Tenneco, a global automotive-parts designer, manufacturer and distributor with $18 billion in 2021 revenue and about 71,000 employees, faced limitations with its legacy Hyperion Enterprise system. The old platform required extensive manual intervention, lacked dimensionality and operational/HR integration, and could not scale to meet the company’s needs for faster consolidations, richer management reporting, budgeting and analysis.

Replacing Hyperion with OneStream gave Tenneco a unified CPM platform that expanded reporting from 4 to 17 dimensions, added an HR cube and guided workflows for 800 users, and automated journal approvals and audit trails. The result was faster, more detailed management and financial reporting, streamlined intercompany eliminations and reconciliations, in-system variance analysis, improved controls, and a 3–4 day reduction in the close—with budgeting, forecasting and People Planning now running in OneStream.
