Solenis, a global specialty chemicals producer serving water-intensive industries, faced a complex finance transformation after spinning out of Ashland: multiple SAP GL/ERP instances, reliance on Excel for consolidation and reporting, a $2B acquisition to integrate, new debt to manage, and a nascent controller function that needed a scalable consolidation process and faster, more accurate financial close.

Working with Fidato Partners, Solenis implemented OneStream in the cloud to unify consolidation, reporting, budgeting and reconciliations across more than 70 entities with SAP integration and multi‑currency support. The platform (and OneStream MarketPlace solutions like Guided Reporting, Task Manager and Account Reconciliations) centralized reporting for 140+ users, cut the monthly close from 15 days to five–six days, and reduced intercompany out‑of‑balance items from about $40M to $300K, delivering timelier, more accurate financial reporting.
