Sasfin, a Johannesburg-based bank-controlling group providing specialist financial products for entrepreneurs, corporates and high-net-worth clients, launched a Finance Transformation Programme to simplify its finance function. The team faced inconsistent numbers between business heads and the general ledger, heavy reliance on manual processes and Excel, audit cost overruns, restatements and excessive overtime — all signaling the need for a unified chart of accounts and a modern corporate performance management platform.

Sasfin selected OneStream, implemented with onshore partner Jigsaw, to replace legacy systems and automate consolidation, reporting, workflows and integrations with AccPac and Great Plains. The deployment (now used by ~100 users across finance, IT and audit) created a single version of the truth, eliminated manual reconciliations and spreadsheets, improved auditability with drill-back, reduced escalations and freed finance to deliver analysis rather than just reports. The cloud-based, scalable platform also positions Sasfin for phased expansion into budgeting, rolling forecasts and driver-based planning.
