A OneStream Software Case Study
Ingram Micro, a global technology distributor operating in 61 countries with roughly 200 entities, faced fragmented financial systems—an extensive Oracle Hyperion footprint plus separate reconciliation and reporting tools—that struggled with large data volumes across multiple ERPs. The company experienced slow, error-prone profitability allocations, long waits for posted journals to appear in consolidation (two to four hours), allocation jobs that could take eight hours or fail, and slow onboarding of new countries, all of which hindered timely management reporting and decision-making.
In 2021 Ingram Micro moved financial consolidation and planning to OneStream on Microsoft Azure, managed by its internal Financial Systems team with support from Bart & Partners and OneStream Services, and extended the solution with marketplace modules for planning and reconciliations. The change cut the lag from journal posting to consolidation from about two hours to five minutes, reduced allocation calculations from eight hours to 10–20 minutes, shortened a 56‑hour end‑to‑end process to eight hours (with many refreshes now ~20 minutes), sped profitability reporting to week one, and improved scalability, reporting by line of business and overall user satisfaction.
