H.C. Starck Solutions, a global supplier of tungsten- and molybdenum‑based metal powders, fabrications and AM parts, faced a fragmented finance landscape built on multiple legacy Oracle applications (FDMEE, HFM, Essbase, FCCS). The environment was error‑prone, required extensive manual checks, suffered performance and stability problems, and lacked the flexibility needed to support multiple subsidiaries, IFRS 16 and a private‑equity divestment strategy.

Working with implementation partner AMCO, H.C. Starck moved to a single cloud finance platform with OneStream, unifying consolidation, reporting and group control. Results included “on‑the‑fly” consolidation, a drop in budget consolidation runtime from 5–7 hours to 20 seconds for monthly actuals (four minutes for 12‑month budget slices), elimination of manual upload reviews, smoother updates, stronger support for carve‑outs and like‑for‑like reporting, lower external support costs and freed finance staff for higher‑value tasks.
