Damen Shipyards is a family-owned global shipbuilder with more than 12,000 employees, over 50 operating companies and a unique business model of building and holding ships in stock. During a global IFS ERP rollout the finance team found SAP BPC and Excel created a disjointed consolidation and reporting environment, leaving them without reliable, location-level visibility to meet strict inventory and compliance requirements across their operating entities.

Working with implementation partner AMCO Solutions, Damen replaced SAP BPC and Excel with OneStream’s unified CPM platform, deploying consolidation, project performance management and a 24‑month rolling forecast on schedule and within budget. The OneStream solution automated intercompany processes, added validation and audit trails, harmonized reporting and reduced manual work — increasing finance agility, transparency and compliance while lowering costs and enabling future expansion into scenario planning, S‑curve forecasting and advanced analytics.
