Curtis Instruments, a privately held leader in electric vehicle instrumentation and motor controls with global operations, was struggling with an outdated financial close process. Relying on Hyperion Enterprise and Excel caused manual GL loads, error-prone intercompany eliminations, numerous top-side adjustments and long consolidation cycles, leaving finance exposed to data quality issues and limited management insight.

Working with implementation partner Finit, Curtis replaced Hyperion with OneStream integrated to their Syteline ERP, automating GL loads and many intercompany eliminations and empowering business-unit finance teams with self-service reporting. The change cut the complex intercompany elimination process from 10 days to three, enabled nightly data loads for daily sales and margin visibility, supported highly granular budgeting across thousands of customers and products, and significantly reduced errors and manual adjustments.
