Cricut, a consumer technology company known for its smart cutting machines and creative platform, faced growing complexity in its finance operations: roughly 12 entities across nine currencies, an older SAP ERP, and heavy reliance on Excel for consolidation and reporting. Rapid growth and frequent additions of entities made manual spreadsheets error-prone, time-consuming, and unsustainable for SEC and board reporting.

Cricut partnered with SandPoint Consulting to deploy OneStream in the cloud for financial consolidation and reporting. The solution automated SAP trial balance imports, intercompany eliminations, expense and revenue/COGS allocations, and a month-end close dashboard; it also produces automated board and SEC reporting. Results included faster data refreshes, stronger controls, significant time savings, and a reduction in spreadsheet complexity from hundreds of tabs to about ten.
