Why Take an Enterprise Approach to E‑Signatures

RBC Royal Bank had already been using e-signatures since 2012, but some business groups were adding solutions without updating IT, creating the risk of overlapping and redundant tools. The bank needed a more consistent enterprise approach to support digital transformation and control how e-signatures were used across the organization.

With OneSpan, RBC Royal Bank switched to an API-based, SaaS e-signature model with central administration and common standards for shared services. The bank also used agile, DevOps, and cloud capabilities to support deployment. The case study does not quantify RBC’s results, but it says the approach was intended to improve speed, efficiency, and cost savings through reuse.
