Odeabank Improves The Authentication Experience for Their Mobile App Users

Odeabank, a fast-growing Turkish bank, needed a secure but convenient mobile login that complied with the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency’s two‑factor authentication requirements and reduced reliance on costly SMS OTPs. To meet this challenge they partnered with OneSpan and adopted the OneSpan Mobile Security Suite (including its SDK) to add integrated OTP generation and Touch ID support to their mobile banking app.

OneSpan’s Mobile Security Suite was embedded into Odeabank’s app (the Pass’O feature) to deliver time‑ and event‑based OTPs, PIN and Touch ID authentication, and a streamlined activation flow. The OneSpan solution produced a faster, more convenient login experience, decreased login time, boosted user satisfaction, and helped the app surpass 60,000 downloads in the first six months, while reducing the bank’s dependence on SMS OTPs.
