Mizuho Corporate Bank Enhances User Experience and Cuts Tco of Their Security Solution

Mizuho Bank, through its Mizuho Global CMS corporate banking service, needed a PC‑independent two‑factor authentication solution to meet new government guidelines while improving user experience and reducing total cost of ownership. The bank selected OneSpan and deployed its one‑time password offering, using Digipass GO 6 devices together with the OneSpan Authentication Server Framework.

OneSpan integrated Digipass GO 6 and its Authentication Server Framework into Mizuho’s infrastructure via APIs, enabling quick rollout of a user‑friendly, portable OTP solution that supports transaction signing and anti‑phishing features. The OneSpan deployment cut TCO compared with a PKI/USB approach, shortened time‑to‑market, reduced risk of outages, delivered high customer satisfaction, and was scaled to 600 corporate customers in Singapore with plans for broader regional rollout.
