Generali Hellas, the Greek arm of the global insurer Generali, needed to digitize and automate all signature-driven processes—starting with life insurance applications and contracts handled by ~3,000 independent brokers—while complying with Greece’s Law 4624/2019 requiring consent from all insured family members over age 15. To eliminate in-person signing delays and improve customer and broker experience, Generali turned to OneSpan and its OneSpan Sign e‑signature service.
OneSpan deployed OneSpan Sign as a cloud service with EU data hosting and a straightforward API, integrating it into Generali’s OneView broker app in weeks to enable remote consent forms and broker contracts. The solution cut application turnaround from several days to under 24 hours, put ~3,000 brokers on a remote process, proved legal consent compliance, ensured business continuity during COVID‑19, and supported a +8% increase in production versus 2019 while helping Generali grow market share by about 6%.
