EagleBank, a mid-sized commercial bank serving Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia, needed to modernize its customer authentication experience while keeping a hybrid approach and ensuring an easy activation process for customers. To meet this goal the bank partnered with OneSpan and selected OneSpan Mobile Authenticator Studio to deliver a software-based authentication option.
OneSpan delivered a branded standalone “EagleBank Soft Token App,” supported by activation PDFs and a temporary centralized support team to streamline rollout. The OneSpan solution cut new-customer onboarding to about five minutes and achieved a 95% adoption rate among new customers in the first nine months, while allowing existing hardware-token users to transition over time and improving overall customer convenience and operational efficiency.
