Softonic, the leading global app and software discovery site with over 100 million monthly visitors, needed a more effective way to engage and retain users after relying on Firebase for mobile push. Using OneSignal’s web and mobile push notifications, API-driven segmentation, Automated Messages and Intelligent Delivery, Softonic created 100+ finely targeted segments and automated behavioral triggers to send the right message at the right time. OneSignal helped Softonic double retention from 12% to 24%, drive a 50% increase in CTR, and scale messaging across 5.7M subscribers (including a 1.5M active English segment) on its 100M-visit platform.
