Bitcoin.com Uses OneSignal to Create a Better Crypto Wallet Experience

Bitcoin.com, a financial services company behind the Bitcoin.com Wallet, needed a better way to engage users, educate them, and safely send high-volume crypto notifications. Using OneSignal after previously relying on Firebase Messaging Cloud, the team wanted to reduce backend risk from spikes in app opens, support feature adoption like cloud backup, and improve onboarding and transaction alerts.

With OneSignal’s Message Throttling, in-app messaging, push notifications, analytics, and Amplitude integration, Bitcoin.com was able to automate and scale messaging more efficiently while reducing manual overhead. The results included a 15% increase in average daily transaction attempts and an 11% increase in average daily completed transactions on notification days, along with gains in swap activity and improved user engagement; OneSignal also helped the team save time, consolidate tools, and launch more personalized, product-driven campaigns.
