Betmate, a UK-based football gaming app, needed a better way to convert and retain users in a highly competitive betting market. Using OneSignal Journeys, Data Tags, and channels including email, in-app messages, mobile push, and SMS, Betmate built personalized, behavior-based messaging flows for onboarding, verification, deposits, referrals, and re-engagement. The results were strong: a 130% lift in CTR from adding the `user_name` tag, an 11% increase in ID verifications, a 30% increase in new user deposits, 30% of inactive users enabling push after an in-app prompt, and overall growth of 600% in MAU and 625% in monthly user spending.
