Omnibiz, a digital retail distribution platform for Tolaram and other FMCG manufacturers, needed a way to streamline order payments after the pandemic disrupted retailers’ ability to move around. Many retailers still preferred cash or direct bank transfers, creating major reconciliation headaches, leakages, and back-office inefficiencies for distributors and manufacturers.

Using OnePipe’s virtual account APIs from partner banks, Omnibiz assigned unique accounts to retailers and drivers so cash payments could be deposited along delivery routes and automatically matched to orders for reconciliation. With OnePipe, Omnibiz reduced cash-handling risk, eliminated hours of daily manual reconciliation, and began encouraging cashless behavior through upgraded accounts, cheaper transfers, discounted airtime, and credit lines tied to account activity.
